Hello! I'm Alicia Gassel. I am so excited to start my sixteenth year at Immaculate Conception
School.
I hold a Master's of Education Degree in Instruction and Curriculum from Drury University,
Springfield, MO. My Bachelor's Degree is in Communication: Media from Truman State University,
Kirksville, MO.
Family is very important to me. I have been married for 26 years to my husband Steve.
We have two wonderful boys who had attended Immaculate Conception School since they
were three, both having graduated from Springfield Catholic High School. Our oldest son graduated with his unsergraduate
degree from Truman State University and attended graduate school at Missouri State University. Our youngest is a 4th year
medical student at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
Teaching is my passion and I love to make learning fun and engaging! Your children become part of my family during the
school year. It is so rewarding to see them grow and blossom. I feel so blessed to walk this educational journey with them.
In my spare time (haha) I am always thinking about school...ways that I can make it better for my students. When I am
not thinking about school I love to read, spend time on the lake with family and friends, and eat...yes... I love going out to eat
and not cooking. :) Some of my favorite things are: Coffee, Tea, Chocolate, and Flowers.
